At The Gnome’s Den, we aim to provide flexibility while balancing the need for proper planning and preparation for all stays. Our comprehensive cancellation policy outlines the terms for both members and non-members, along with special provisions for force majeure events
We want to ensure that your experience at The Gnome’s Den is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. If your plans change and you need to adjust your booking, here’s how we handle cancellations for non-members:
1. Cancelling Within 14 Days of Check-in:
● If you cancel within 14 days before your check-in date, we will refund 50% of your reservation amount. This includes 50% of your reservation cost and 50% of your security deposit.
2. Cancelling More Than 14 Days Before Check-in:
● If you cancel your reservation more than 14 days before your check-in date, you will receive a full refund, which includes both the total cost of your reservation and your security deposit.
3. Full Refund of Your Security Deposit:
● Whether you cancel within the cancellation period or outside of it, you will always receive a full refund of your security deposit.
4. Force Majeure (Nature-Based Cancellations):
● If a force majeure event (such as severe weather or natural disasters) prevents you from traveling to The Gnome’s Den, we will fully refund your entire reservation, including your security deposit.
5. Early Departures or Delays:
● If your stay is delayed or if you need to leave earlier than originally planned, we cannot offer a refund for the nights you do not stay, regardless of whether they fall at the start or end of your stay.
6. Rescheduling and Flexibility:
● If you cancel within the cancellation time limit, rescheduling is allowed without penalties. You can choose new dates for your stay at no additional cost as long as you select dates of equal value. If your new dates are more expensive, you will only need to pay the difference.
Important Notes:
● Security Deposit: Your security deposit will always be refunded in full as long as you cancel before your arrival date, regardless of when you cancel.
● Cancellation for Special Circumstances: If nature prevents you from arriving, we will always provide a full refund.
● No Refunds for Partial Stays: We cannot offer refunds for any partial stays (either at the start or the end of your reservation). If you need to leave early or if you experience delays, we cannot compensate you for the nights you did not stay.
● Communication: We encourage you to reach out to us as soon as you know you need to cancel, as we’re happy to assist with rescheduling or answering any questions you may have.
6. Cancellation Window: Guests may cancel their reservation up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund of all payments, including the security deposit
7. Late Cancellations: For cancellations made within 14 days of the check-in date, guests will receive a 50% refund of the full reservation fee.
8. Security Deposit: Regardless of when a cancellation is made, the security deposit is fully refundable if the guest does not stay at the property.
9. Partial Stays: If a guest arrives late or departs early, no refund will be issued for any unused nights.
10. Force Majeure: Guests canceling due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, travel bans, or severe weather) will receive a full refund, including the security deposit, regardless of timing.
